Big Jump

...and a safe landing.

Lately, Davis has been getting a little creative with his sliding techniques. Last night he started something new. He slid down to the end of the slide and stopped. He stood up, said 'big jump,' and to the astonishment of the audience, he jumped off the end of the slide. He surprised himself by how high and far he managed to jump. He continued to perform the feat, even after advising himself, 'no more jumping.' Davis was really proud of himself, and exerted a lot of energy. He went to sleep right away, and didn't wake-up until close to 8am. Davis works hard when he's playing, and it's fun to see him try new things (safely). When it's time for him to rev-down and rest up, we sometimes play 'take me out to the ballgame' from a Cubs game off the tivo-it works everytime!

the photographer had a difficult time keeping Davis in the picture!

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
