Call Up

When we booked our trip
to watch the Royals play
at Yankee Stadium,
we had no idea that DJ's favorite
Storm Chaser would follow us.
The Royals' regular third baseman
got hurt, so the call went out for #19
Then, it was off to NYC for #19 & DJ!

Seeing Cheslor play in Yankee Stadium
was going to be awesome!

We were a little late getting to our seats.

Davis spotted #19 warming up on the field.
Cheslor was throwing a baseball with Eric Hosmer.

It was cool.
From Arvest Ballpark to Yankee Stadium,
CFC was now in The Show!

Suddenly,
Cheslor caught the last throw from Hoz,
then ran over to where we were standing!

What the what?

Yeah, being recognized by
Cheslor Cuthbert was cool.

Before: Yankee fans were giving us
some lighthearted verbal jabbings.
After: Hushed silence.

Until the game started.
Then, more than a few of them started
 giving Cheslor some respectful applause
each time he came up to bat!
Cheslor even surprised DJ
by giving him a very special baseball!
Davis had some big league advice
for Cheslor: "Have fun out there!"

Go Royals!

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
