@ Citi Field

It's where the Royals won the World Series!
Since 1964, the Mets have been a fixture
in the borough of Queens.
The team adopted their uniform colors
from the 2 teams that had previously
departed the city -orange, from the Giants
and blue, from the Dodgers.
Saving the original 582 pound
Home Run Apple was a nice touch.
Not saving the original stadium's name is
something Mets' fans can't be proud about.

But, it's the Mets.

With the Mets, tradition is borrowed,
then leaves on an uptown train.
In 2009, Citi Field replaced the venerable
Shea Stadium at a cost of $900 million.
The global architectural firm Populous
(which is based in Kansas City)
designed the single-purpose facility
& supervised the construction.
The filled-to-capacity stadium of 45,000
couldn't hold-back the Royals from winning
the World Series in 5 games.
Go Royals!

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
