Davis is picking-up on a lot more new words, and he is pronouncing some of his old words a lot better. But one word has remained constant. Anytime you say the word motorcycle, Davis responds, 'motor-kiekle' He says it slow and deliberate -almost like he is the one saying it the right way, and we should model our speech after his. He does have quite a few words and phrases that are fun to say. Instead of handing something to you and asking you to throw it away, (which provides you the opportunity to say 'no, thank you') Davis will just put it in your hand and say 'oh-foo-foo'. Davis first started doing this when he was still crawling. We thought someone had taught him to say the phrase as he hands-over little things that he finds on the carpet. But, we've asked everyone we know, and it seems to be a phrase he invented out of necessity. Now he's got mommy and daddy saying it to each other. Maybe it will end soon enough -before he's at baseball practice in college, finding something on the field, and handing it to someone -saying 'oh foo foo'. But he won't be riding to practice on a motorkiekle.
