Officially, it's known as the Mozart Magic Cube.
Davis knows it as his music box, and he's had it just about all of his life.
It's been pretty neat seeing him develop with the toy. It took him a while before he was able to focus his strength to push the over-sized buttons for the different instruments. Then came the day when he figured-out the on/off button. Before then, Davis would hit the off button accidentally, and it would really upset him that his favorite toy might be broken. He would lay on the floor and scream -really scaring us. Of course it was a serious issue for Davis, but we were relieved when one day he simply picked-up the toy, brought it over to one of us and said "fix it?"
Now Davis can name all the different instruments -piano, harp, flute, violin, french horn and he can also say 'orchestra'. He can push the one you ask for, but just as important, he can independently search through all of his toys, find it, play with it, then put it back when asked.
Davis thinks the french horn is kinda funny
He enjoys watching other kids playing with the same toys that he plays with -by searching YouTube. There are hundreds of videos under 'bouncing zebra' -and Davis has his favorites. He recognizes (and sometimes asks to see) Chloe from Minnesota who has the same zebra, Little Tikes slide, and lawn chair. We haven't found too many Mozart Cube videos, but we're always looking.
